INSPECTIONS
COMPLETED OUT OF STATE
Inspections may be performed by other state's Department of Motor Vehicle or
State Police, under the following conditions:
- Inspection certification must be on an out-of-state VIN inspection form or
that stat's Department of Motor Vehicle letterhead or State Police
letterhead.<div>The inspector must certify that he/she has physically inspected the vehicle
identification number and odometer reading of the vehicle, listing both.
- The inspector must date, sign and print their name and list their position.
A daytime telephone phone number is helpful, but not required.
- Inspection certifications satisfying the above criteria may be accepted
without submission to OTC for review and pre-approval.
OKLAHOMA RESIDENT ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL
When an Oklahoma resident is stationed out-of-state due to an official duty
assignment of the U.S. Armed Forces, the following inspection documentation
is required:
- A VIN inspection completed by the base military police on official
letterhead.
- The inspector must certify that he/she has physically inspected the vehicle
identification number and odometer reading of the vehicle, listing both.
