Don’t have a Real ID or other federal ID and trying to fly domestically? If you have more than 4 weeks until your flight get a Real ID immediately. Otherwise TSA has unveiled a new program for those without a Real ID.
Starting Feb. 1 2025 anyone flying domestically without an acceptable federal ID can pay $45 for TSA Confirm.ID. This optional process is an additional identity check that ATTEMPTS to verify passengers and OK them to fly. If successful the passenger is confirmed for a 10 day period. Anyone opting to go through Confirm.ID will be subject to longer wait times. This process will vary from airport to airport.
